We are an eCommerce-led omnichannel retailer serving the UK and German markets primarily through our flagship brand Worktop Express.
In 2020, we became part of the €1bn+ global materials division of Broadview Holding alongside other well-known surface brands, including Formica, Westag, Trespa, Arpa and Homapal. As part of the wider Broadview group, we have a clear vision to accelerate our growth over the coming years.
Founded in 2008, we have enjoyed consistent and profitable growth since inception by sourcing the highest quality products at great prices. We offer a first-class customer journey; our flagship brand Worktop Express offers over 100 worktop styles that customers can visit in our seven showroom locations throughout the UK. Customers can also order samples and purchase through our website, where we sell 2,500 worktops a week. Excellent customer service plays a crucial part in our offering, and we take great pride in Worktop Express’ TrustPilot score of 4.8* from over 45,000 reviews.
Our friendly, supportive and progressive culture makes for an enjoyable, inclusive and encouraging working environment. Our Health and Safety culture is central to our ethos, recently investing over £150,000 on further safety measures across all our sites to ensure our colleagues work in a safe and secure environment.
Innovation and continual improvement keep us ahead of the competition, with Team Zeus (our in-house software development team based in Prague) playing a crucial part in this. We also take a long-term approach, actively seeking opportunities to drive our business growth, including investing in our technology to improve efficiencies. For example, our new automated storage and retrieval system, Barbaric, can store approximately 15,000 worktops and automatically picks a worktop in just 45 seconds. We have also grown our in-house van fleet by over 50% over the last five years to 60+ increasing our delivery service capacity.
