Jon Shepherd

Chief Executive Officer

Jon is responsible for driving our growth strategy and developing wider opportunities for Direct Online Services within the Broadview group to ensure our long-term success.

 

After graduating with a master's degree in Chemical Engineering from Nottingham University, Jon became a Chartered Accountant before entering the retail sector, gaining extensive experience in leading omnichannel transformations and expanding businesses. He also has a great passion for rugby, having played professionally for Rotherham Rugby Club and is a keen supporter of Gloucester Rugby Club.

Ben Crouch

Chief Financial Officer

Ben oversees all the financial aspects of the business, helping to deliver our ambitious growth plans. 

 

He started his career at PwC, working in various industries whilst gaining his ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) qualification, before moving to Henley to work as an accountant and tax advisor. During his time in Henley, he became a member of the Leander rowing club and has previously rowed for England in the Home International Regatta! Ben is also a keen runner and will be competing in the London Marathon later this year for Asthma UK.

Andrew Shakespeare 

Digital and Marketing Director

Andrew is responsible for our eCommerce and Marketing teams, implementing a data-driven approach to our marketing strategy and web design to drive significant revenue growth. 

 

He has an impressive track record of eCommerce growth, including his time at start-up Finery London as Head of eCommerce and Analytics, where he helped to grow their eCommerce revenue from zero to £8m in the first two years of trading. Andrew is also a keen cricketer, having played during his time at Oxford University and now for his local team.

Tahnee Miles

Buying and Merchandising Director

Tahnee is responsible for optimising the stock planning process and the supply chain as well as product development to support the future growth of the business. 

 

She has over ten years of experience within merchandising and supply chain roles, including working at Briers and the Home Retail Group, before joining Direct Online Services in 2018. Tahnee has a great passion for interior design, and when she's not sourcing products for us, she's busy renovating her own home.

Jozef Sevcik

Chief Technology Officer

Jozef is the core architect of our bespoke software systems, including our Online Bespoke Worktop Tool. His largest project to date has been our bespoke ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system, Athena, that increases the capability and efficiency of our back-office and operations management. 

 

Jozef has over 15 years of commercial software development experience, starting as a Software Developer for HSBC Czech Republic. He also co-founded a software development firm in Prague, delivering bespoke software systems for many clients, from start-ups to enterprises. Jozef enjoys reading, travelling and has a real passion for ambient and techno music; when he's not listening to it, he is busy creating his own.

Nicki Burge 

HR Director

Nicki is responsible for developing our people strategies to support our business growth, ensuring we create the right culture for our employees to be successful at what they do.

 

After graduating from Cardiff University with a degree in Industrial Relations and Sociology, she started her HR career at Masstock Arable. Nicki went on to work for Kohler Mira for over nine years, gaining vast experience in employee engagement, talent management and change initiatives before joining Direct Online Services in 2021. When she's not at work, Nicki is either practising playing the piano, learning to jive or watching Cheltenham Town FC as a season ticket holder for over 20 years!

Andrew Hibbert

Operations Director

Andrew oversees the operational efficiency of the business. Since joining Direct Online Services, he has made investments in automation to help support business growth and helped to drive cultural changes to improve Health and Safety and staff engagement. 

 

Having worked for various companies during his career, Andrew progressed to Managing Director of Sapa Components, where he led his team to win the prestigious SME Manufacturing Excellence Award in 2000. After that, he worked as Operations Director for Metalrax Group and Gardiner Bros before joining us in 2019. Andrew enjoys spending time outside, gardening, going on long walks with his family and running, having completed over 100 park runs!
